“Opokan Actigel is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug in the form of a gel for use on the skin. The medicinal product contains naproxen from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), when used topically, it reduces muscle and joint pain after injuries, spine pain and pain associated with degenerative joint disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
Composition
1g of gel contains: active substance: naproxen 100mg (in the form of naproxen sodium), and excipients: dimethyl sulfoxide, ethanol 96%, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, purified water.
Indications
Post-traumatic pain in muscles and joints (sprains, dislocations, contusions), spine pain, pain in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Action
Analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic.
Dosage
The medicine is intended for local use. A small amount of gel (about 5 cm of squeezed strip) should be applied to the painful areas 4-5 times a day, rubbing gently until the gel is completely absorbed. The maximum daily dose of naproxen administered topically is 500 mg (approximately 25 cm of squeezed gel strip).”
