100 g of syrup contains:
Active ingredients: Thymi Extractum Liquidum (Liquid thyme extract) 15.00 g, Thymolum (Timol) 0.01 g.
Excipients: ammonium hydroxide, ethanol, simple syrup (sucrose and purified water).
The medicine contains up to 5% ethanol.
Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Orally.
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 teaspoons (10 ml) syrup 3 times a day.
Children from 6 to 12 years old: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3 times a day.
You should drink plenty of fluids to ensure proper expectoration and not irritate your respiratory system.
Action
The drug increases mucus secretion in the upper respiratory tract and facilitates expectoration.
It has bactericidal and antispasmodic properties.
Contraindications
When should you not use Sirupus Thymi compositum:
Do not use the syrup if you have had a history of allergic reactions to thyme or other herbs in the Lamiaceae family or any of the ingredients in this product.
It should also not be used for asthma or in children with a history of acute inflammation of the larynx and trachea.
Side effects
Hypersensitivity reactions and mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur after using the syrup.
If any side effects occur, tell your doctor.
Warnings and Precautions
A single dose of syrup (10 ml) contains up to 0.64 g of ethanol. Do not use in people with alcoholism, liver disease, or epilepsy.
The medicine contains sucrose. Patients who have previously been diagnosed with intolerance to certain sugars should consult a doctor before taking the drug.
Keep out of the reach of small children.
Store at room temperature.
Protect from light and moisture.
