“Application and dosage:
Oral administration – dissolve the contents of the sachet in a standard cup of hot, but not boiling water (250 ml). Allow the water to cool to drinking temperature. Drink the entire solution within one and a half hours. Adults, seniors and children 12 years of age and older: One sachet every four hours as needed. Do not take more than 4 sachets (4 doses) within 24 hours. Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist for more than 5 days.
Contraindications/side effects:
Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients. Liver failure or severe renal failure. Cardiopathy and cardiovascular disorders, including severe hemolytic anemia. Hypertension. Hyperthyroidism. Diabetes. Pheochromocytoma. Patients taking tricyclic antidepressants. Contraindicated in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors or who have discontinued therapy for less than 2 weeks. Use in patients receiving other sympathetic mimetics (e.g., decongestants, appetite suppressants, and amphetamine-type psychostimulants).
Warnings:
Your doctor or pharmacist should make sure that drugs containing sympathomimetics are not used at the same time by different routes, i.e. orally and topically (nasally, earwise and ophthalmically). Products containing sympathomimetics should be used with extreme caution in patients with angina pectoris. Patients suffering from the following conditions should consult a physician before taking this product: prostatic hypertrophy (patients may experience difficulty urinating), occlusive vasculopathy such as Raynaud’s phenomenon, cardiovasculopathy, myasthenia gravis – an immune disorder. Severe gastrointestinal diseases. This medication should only be recommended if all symptoms (pain and/or fever, nasal congestion and bronchial cough) are present. Patients with chronic cough or asthma should consult a physician before taking this product. Patients should stop using this product and consult a doctor if cough lasts more than 5 days or returns. The risk of overdose is higher in patients with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease. Avoid consumption with alcohol. Contains sucrose. Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency should not take this medicine. Contains aspartame (E951), a source of phenylalanine. May be harmful to patients with phenylketonuria. This medication contains 129 mg sodium per dose. Do not take with other products containing the same active ingredient. Get medical help right away if you overdose, even if you feel fine. Do not take with other decongestants.
Special Warnings: In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention, even if you feel well, due to the risk of serious and long-term liver damage.
Interactions:
The rate of absorption can be increased with metoclopramide or domperidone, and the absorption of cholestyramine can be decreased. The anticoagulant effect of warfarin and other coumarins may be enhanced by regular and long-term use of paracetamol, with an increased risk of bleeding, although random doses did not have a significant effect. Medicines that induce liver microsomal enzymes, such as alcohol, barbiturates, monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants, may increase the toxicity of to the liver, especially after overdose. Contraindicated in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors or who have discontinued therapy in less than 2 weeks due to the risk of hypertensive crisis. Regular use of may result in decreased metabolism of zidovudine (increased risk of neutropenia). Salicylates/ may prolong the half-life of paracetamol. Drug interactions between and a variety of other drugs have been reported and are considered unlikely to be clinically significant when used acutely at the suggested dosage regimen.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
There is no information available on the effect of the active ingredients on fertility. Epidemiological data from oral administration of therapeutic doses of do not indicate adverse effects on pregnancy or the health of the fetus or newborn. Reproduction studies that examined oral administration showed no evidence of malformations or fetal toxicity.”
