“Description
Aviomarin is a medicine that will help you reduce bad mood while driving a car, train, cruise or plane. It also prevents nausea and vomiting of other origins, e.g. due to migraine, infection, stomach or hormonal problems, as well as nausea and vomiting in children from 6 years of age.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
active substance: dimenhydramine 50mg
excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, talc, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate
Dosage
Aviomarin is intended for oral use. It can be taken regardless of meals. The tablet should be taken with an appropriate amount of water.
The recommended dose should be taken at least 30 minutes before planning a trip or taking a poorly tolerated drug.
Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age: 1-2 tablets (50 mg to 100 mg). If necessary, it can be repeated every 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets (400 mg).
Children aged 6 to 14 years: 1 tablet (50 mg). If necessary, it can be repeated every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose in children should not exceed 5 mg/kg body weight, with no more than 3 tablets (150 mg) per day.
Action
Aviomarin contains dimenhydramine (dimenhydrinate) as an active substance. It is a substance with anti-emetic, anti-allergic and mildly sedative properties.
Onset of action: Onset of action occurs after 30 minutes
Action: The effects of the drug are observed for 3 to 6 hours after administration
Contraindications
Aviomarin should not be used if:
– you are allergic (hypersensitive) to dimenhydramine, antihistamines or any of the other ingredients of the medicine
– the patient suffers from: acute asthma attack, narrow-angle glaucoma, pheochromocytoma, porphyria, prostatic hypertrophy and retention of urine in the bladder, epilepsy.
Aviomarin limits psychophysical performance, therefore it should not be used by people driving motor vehicles and operating mechanical devices.
