“Compound:
The active ingredient of the drug is cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
1 tablet contains 20 mg of cholecalciferol, which corresponds to 0.05 mg (2000 IU) of vitamin D3.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (type 102), calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, pregelatinized corn starch, crospovidone (type A), sucrose, magnesium stearate, sodium ascorbate, triglycerides of medium-chain saturated fatty acids, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, all-rac-α-tocopherol
Indications:
Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults.
Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning pregnancy, pregnancy and breastfeeding in consultation with a doctor.
Prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults.
Complementary treatment of osteoporosis in adults.
Action:
Vigalex Forte is indicated for use in cases of vitamin D3 deficiency. It is also recommended for preventive purposes for pregnant, breastfeeding women or those planning to expand their family. Additionally, the drug is recommended for the prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults, as well as for the additional treatment of rickets in adults.
Recommended Use:
The tablet should be taken orally with water.
The recommended dosage for children over 6 years of age is 1000 IU per day.
Adolescents aged 11–18 years should be given 1,000–2,000 IU per day to prevent deficiency. To prevent rickets and osteomalacia in this age group, the daily dose should be 2000 IU.
Adults are recommended to take 1000-2000 IU per day to prevent vitamin D3 deficiency or 2000 IU per day to prevent rickets and osteomalacia. For maintenance treatment of osteoporosis in adults, it is recommended to take 2000-4000 IU daily.
Always use Vigalex as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Before first use, consult your doctor. Without medical supervision, do not take the drug for longer than 3 months or in doses higher than recommended.
Contraindications:
Do not take the tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, have hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria, kidney stones, severe renal failure, or pseudohypoparathyroidism.
