Pyrolam is an antifungal drug intended for topical application to the skin. This medicine works on fungi found on the skin called dermatophytes, yeast-like fungi, yeasts, and mixed fungal infections. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which is especially important when mycosis is accompanied by inflammation. The drug penetrates the skin through the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands. The medicine is used for the following purposes: treatment of fungal infections of the smooth skin, treatment of fungal infections of the scalp, treatment of mycosis of the feet, treatment of fungal infections of the lower legs, mycosis of the smooth skin, mycosis of the scalp.
If you are not sure about the cause of the infection, consult your doctor before taking the medication. Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The drug is applied locally to the skin. Pyrolam is usually applied twice a day to the affected skin, rubbed lightly or left to dry. Treatment should be continued until the symptoms of the disease disappear. The optimal duration of treatment is 3 weeks. To prevent the recurrence of the disease, it is recommended to continue the treatment for 10 days after the lesions disappear. If symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks of treatment, see your doctor. Use for adults and children over 6 years of age. the drug is contraindicated for infants. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor determines it is absolutely necessary. Pirolam has no effect on the ability to drive a car and operate mechanisms. Pyrolam gel contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) and propylene glycol. The drug can cause allergic reactions (possible delayed reactions) and skin irritation.
