“This is the first over-the-counter medicine to contain the well-known substance inosine pranobex (double dose*). Recommended for people with reduced immunity and for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. In addition, inosine suppresses the reproduction of viruses from the herpes group that are pathogenic for humans and cause herpes on the lips and facial skin.
*Compared to Neosin syrup 250mg/5ml.
Indications: infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by herpes simplex virus type I (labial herpes) or type II (genital herpes), chicken pox and herpes zoster. Other infections caused by viruses (eg, subacute sclerosing encephalitis, a complication of measles). Supports people with reduced immunity and recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.
Dosage
Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years): 0.5 ml of syrup per kg of body weight per day (usually 10 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times a day).
Children over 1 year: 0.5 ml of syrup per kg of body weight per day. For dosing, use the measuring cup included with the product. This allows you to measure the exact dose.
Your doctor will tell you how long you should take the medicine. Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days. It is recommended to continue taking the medication for 1 to 2 days after the symptoms of the disease disappear. In children and adolescents with reduced immunity: the drug should be used 10 days a month for the next 3 months.
Compound
The active ingredient of the drug is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1:3). Other ingredients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, sucrose, sodium saccharin, anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, banana flavor AR 0010, purified water.”
