Boldoflorine is a stimulating laxative medication, meaning it stimulates intestinal evacuation. It is a short-term treatment for occasional constipation in adults. Its time of action is usually 8 to 12 hours.

The active ingredients of Boldoflorine are Boldine 0.740 mg, senna leaf extract 27.8 mg, rosemary extract 12.0 mg for 1 film-coated tablet of approximately 160 mg. The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, methylated casein, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, propylene glycol and diethyl phthalate.
Methylated casein is obtained by treating casein with formaldehyde.
