Posoloigia
For skin benefit only. The dosage of the drug should only be applied to intact and healthy skin and should not be applied while you are bathing or showering. The medicated diclofenac patch should be used for the shortest possible time due to clarification of use.
Adults
The usual dosage regimen is 1 or 2 patches per day (application every 12 or 24 hours) for up to 14 days. It is recommended that the patient consult a doctor if there is no improvement during the treatment period.
Pediatric population Children and adolescents under 16 years of age:
The use of this medicinal patch is not recommended as there is insufficient data to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the drug.
In adolescents under 16 years of age:
if medication is needed for a treatment period of up to 7 days to relieve pain, or if symptoms worsen, reassessment is required. Advise the patient or relatives of the teenager to consult a doctor.
Old people
This drug should be used with caution in elderly patients, as they are more susceptible to side effects.
Mode of application
Cut out the envelope containing the medicated patch as shown. Remove the adhesive tape, peel off the film on the plastic used to protect the adhesive surface and apply the patch to the joint or surface of the pain. If necessary, the patch can be held in place using an elastic band (the package contains a tubular network). Close the envelope carefully. The patch must be used completely. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
Warnings
If diclofenac adhesive plaster is used on the surface of the skin, extended and for a long time, the possibility of adverse systemic formations cannot be excluded (see description of Product Characteristics of diclofenac systemic formations).
The medicated patch should only be applied to intact and healthy skin and should not be applied to broken skin or open wounds. The patches should not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Asthmatic patients with diseases such as chronic bronchial obstruction, allergic rhinitis or inflammation of the nasal mucosa (nasal polyp) react with asthma attacks, local inflammation of the skin or mucous membrane (Quincke’s edema) or urticaria to treatment carried out with NSAIDs more often than other patients.
Use, especially long-term use, as with other topical products, can lead to sensitization. In this case, it is necessary to stop treatment and institute appropriate therapy.
Although systemic absorption is minimal, the use of FLECTOR, like any drug that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and cyclooxygenase, is not recommended in women who are planning to become pregnant. Administration of FLECTOR should be suspended in women who have fertility problems or who are undergoing fertility testing.
Side effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration of treatment to control symptoms.
• Do not use an occlusive dressing that does not allow air to pass through.
• Treatment should be stopped immediately if you develop a skin rash after applying the medicated patch.
• Do not simultaneously use externally or systemically another drug based on diclofenac or other NSAIDs.
• Although systemic effects should be low, the medicated patch should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal, cardiac or hepatic function, a history of peptic ulcer or inflammatory bowel disease or bleeding diathesis. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications should be used with special attention in elderly patients, who are most susceptible to side effects.
• Patients should be warned not to expose to direct sunlight or solar lamp light for approximately one day after removing the medicated patch so as to reduce the risk of photosensitivity.”
