Indications:
Panadol is used for children from 3 months of age for:
Fever and pain during:
colds and flu,
after vaccinations.
Pain of various origins:
painful teething,
toothache,
headache,
sore throat,
Ear ache.
Action:
Panadol for children has antipyretic and analgesic properties.
Dosage:
Always take the medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
How to use Panadol in children?
Panadol for children strawberry can be used from 3 months of age. The dosage is determined depending on body weight.
Baby 3 months (6 kg): 3.5 ml.
Baby 6 months (8 kg): 5 ml.
Baby 9 months (9 kg): 5.5 ml.
Child 1 year (10 kg): 6 ml.
Child 2 years old (12.5 kg): 8 ml.
Child 3 years old (15 kg): 9 ml.
Child 4 years old (17 kg): 10.5 ml.
Child 5 years old (19 kg): 12 ml.
Child 6 years old (21 kg): 13 ml.
Child 9 years old (30 kg): 19 ml.
Child 12 years old (42 kg): 26 ml.
Oral use only.
Shake before use.
Do not give the medication more frequently than every 4 hours and do not take more than 4 doses per day.
Before giving medicine to a child under 2 years of age, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
The drug is not recommended for use in children under 3 months of age.
Do not use a higher dose of Panadol for children than recommended.
The lowest effective dose of the drug should be used for the shortest possible time.
Contraindications:
Concomitant use of other drugs containing paracetamol.
If you are allergic to or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Liver or kidney failure in a child.
Storage:
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
Store at temperatures below 25°C.

Side effects:
This medicine, like all medicines, may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
If the following reactions occur, stop taking the drug immediately and consult a doctor.
Very rare (occurs in less than 1 in 10,000 people):
allergies such as skin rash or itching, sometimes with difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face,
skin rash or severe skin reaction manifested by an acute generalized pustular rash or blisters and erosions on the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals, fever and joint pain or bursting giant subepidermal blisters, extensive skin erosions, desquamation of large areas of the epidermis and high fever ,
breathing problems if you have had similar problems in the past while taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, bruising or bleeding of unknown cause,
liver dysfunction.
Interactions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take any other medicines.
You should consult your doctor if you are taking the following medications:
metoclopramide, domperidone (used against nausea and vomiting),
cholestyramine (used to reduce high blood cholesterol),
zidovudine (antiviral medicine),
anticoagulants, if long-term use of analgesics is necessary, sleeping pills, antiepileptic drugs, anti-tuberculosis drugs, MAO inhibitors (drugs used for depression),
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (acetylsalicylic acid).
Interaction with MAO inhibitors:
This can cause agitation and a rise in temperature.
Taking the drug with alcohol:
You should not drink alcohol while taking the drug due to the increased risk of liver damage.
The risk is especially high in people who are undernourished and drink alcohol regularly.
Warnings and Precautions:
Particular care should be taken in patients:
with liver and kidney failure,
with enzyme deficiency: glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and methemoglobin reductase,
being underweight or malnourished, suffering from anorexia,
regular alcohol consumption.
Before using this medication, consult your doctor if you have a severe infection (sepsis), which may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
You should contact your doctor immediately if you also experience symptoms of metabolic acidosis.”
