Indications: the drug is intended for use in infants and children in the following cases: fever of various origins (also in the course of viral infections, in the course of post-vaccination reaction); pain of various origins of weak to moderate intensity: headache, throat and muscle pain, e.g. in the course of viral infections; pain in muscles, joints and bones due to musculoskeletal injuries (strains, sprains); pain due to soft tissue injuries, postoperative pain; toothache, pain after dental procedures, pain due to teething; earache occurring in inflammation of the middle ear.
Composition:the active substance of the drug is ibuprofen 100mg / 5ml. The other ingredients are: sodium benzoate (E 211), anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, hypromellose 15 cP, xanthan gum, liquid maltitol, glycerol, strawberry flavor (contains substances identical to natural flavors, natural flavors, maltodextrin , triethyl citrate, propylene glycol and benzyl alcohol), purified water.
Action: The active substance is ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by changing the body’s response to pain, inflammation
and increased body temperature.
Dosage:the recommended daily dose of Ibuprom for Children is 20mg to 30mg per kilogram of body weight, administered in divided doses according to the following scheme: infants from 3 to 6 months (5-7.6kg): 3 times 2.5ml per day (corresponding to 150 mg ibuprofen daily). Infants from 6 to 12 months (7.7-9 kg): 3 to 4 times 2.5 ml per day (equivalent to 150-200 mg ibuprofen per day). Children from 1 to 3 years (10-15kg): 3 times 5ml per day (equivalent to 300 mg ibuprofen per day). Children from 4 to 6 years (16-20 kg): 7.5 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 450 mg ibuprofen a day). Children from 7 to 9 years (21-29kg): 3 times 10ml per day (equivalent to 600mg ibuprofen per day). Children from 10 to 12 years (30-40kg): 3 times 15ml per day (equivalent to 900mg ibuprofen per day). There should be an interval of 6 to 8 hours between doses.
Contraindications: allergy to any of the ingredients of the drug; active or past gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, perforation or bleeding, including those occurring after the use of NSAIDs; severe liver failure, severe kidney failure or severe heart failure, concomitant use of other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including COX-2 inhibitors (increased risk
side effects); third trimester of pregnancy; hemorrhagic diathesis; lupus erythematosus or mixed connective tissue disease; diseases of the digestive system and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease); hypertension and/or cardiac dysfunction; active or past bronchial asthma or signs of allergic reactions in the past; bronchospasm, congenital fructose intolerance may occur after taking the drug (due to the possibility of converting maltitol, one of the auxiliary components, into fructose).
